I've lived through this nightmare any number of times in any number of ways.. In the 1990s an 'artist' (I use the word loosely) from Brazil 'Louis de Godoy', opened a decorative art studio in Atlanta and with it a web site. His 'Stencil page' featured 8 photographs of beautifully stenciled Italian Plaster walls, every single photo - lifted from my own web site - BFresco.com. We let him know that copyright infringement was expensive to perpetrate and easy to prosecute. So he removed the images, only to open a different web site later, and do the same thing. (He finally disappeared from the internet, though he was not the only decorative 'artist' pirating our images.

What I wonder to this day is, has copyright infringement really become so difficult to enforce? It used to be a scary word to would be perps.. No more I guess?

For what it's worth - 2 total scam companies to watch out for, are Stripe.com, (yes the same $ processor that Substack uses.. look up their thousands of complaints) and Academy.edu - which is an online crook masquerading as an educational non profit.

OY.. what a world it has become.
